Long-Term Advisory 

 

I work with a small number of founders and CEOs at a time, offering retainer-based coaching and advisory designed for the long haul. This isn't about quick fixes or checking boxes, it's about building a sustained partnership as you navigate the complexities of scaling leadership.

My clients are typically post-Seed to Series B/C founders leading teams of 20-200+ and feeling the shift from "doing everything" to "leading a growing organization." If that's you, here's how we work together.

How We Work Together

I work on a monthly retainer basis, typically committing to 6-12 month engagements (sometimes longer). This isn't project-based consulting, it's an ongoing partnership where I'm with you through the ups and downs.

A confidential thinking space

I'm not an investor, board member, or employee. I don't take equity which means I'm fully independent. Our conversations stay confidential and focused on what's best for you. 

My Approach

 

I combine practical, hands-on advice with genuine support. Sometimes you need someone who's been there to tell you exactly what to do. Other times you need space to think out loud with someone who asks the right questions. Sometimes you just need someone to be your cheerleader giving you the confidence to do hard things.

My style is supportive, direct, and empathetic. I'll challenge you when it helps, support you when it's hard, and always tell you the truth as I see it. I bring both lived operator experience and deep pattern recognition from working closely with multiple scaling companies.

What This Isn't

 

To be clear about fit:

  • This is not quick-fix consulting. If you need someone to parachute in, solve a problem, and leave, I'm not the right person.

  • This is not board advisory. I don't take board seats or invest in companies I advise. I remain fully independent so I can be focused entirely on you.

  • This is not for early-stage founders still figuring out product-market fit. My work is designed for the post-investment scaling phase when leadership complexity increases dramatically.

How to Get Started

 

Step 1: Book an Intro Call

We'll spend 30 minutes discussing your current challenges, where you are in your founder journey, and whether my approach feels like the right fit.

Step 2: Decide Together

After our call, we'll both take time to reflect. If we're aligned, I'll send over a proposal outlining how we'd work together.

Step 3: Begin the Partnership

Most engagements start with an initial deep-dive session where we map out your biggest priorities and create a framework for our work together.

Common Questions

 

How much time will this take?

Plan for 2-3 hours per month of scheduled time (typically two longer sessions), plus ad hoc time for quick questions or urgent situations. I will review documents, send thoughts on emails and interview candidates. The beauty of the retainer model is that you're not watching the clock - you reach out when you need support.

 

Do you work with co-founding teams or just solo founders?

Both. I work with individual founders who want their own thought partner, and I also work with co-founding teams together when the focus is on founder dynamics or shared leadership challenges.

 

What if I'm not sure I need "coaching"?

Many of my clients don't think of this as coaching - they think of it as having a trusted advisor who's been in the seat and can help them navigate the complexity of scale. Call it what resonates for you. What matters is that you get the support you need.

 

How long do people typically work with you?

Most partnerships last 12-18 months, though some are shorter. The work evolves as your company and leadership role evolves.

 

Can I talk to any of your current or former clients?
